2017-18 Samuel Girard Global Series Set (KSE/Avalanche)

This is Sam Girard's game worn jersey from the second game of the 2017 NHL Global Series on November 11th, 2018 vs the Ottawa Senators in Stockholm, Sweden.  The Avalanche who were leading Game 2, 3-2 after 2 periods, wound up losing another close one, 4-3..  Girard logged 22:39 in ice time in the game, but did not factor in on the scoring sheet.

Sam Girard is an exciting, smooth skating rookie defenseman.  Girard came over from the Nashville Predators to the Colorado Avalanche in a 3 way deal that saw Matt Duchene head to the Senators, and Kyle Turris to the Predators.  The 19 year old Girard is destined to be a future star on the Avalanche blue line for years to come.  I am very excited to add a rookie game worn sweater of his to my collection.

This is Nail Yakupov's Global Series home set that he wore against the Ottawa Senators on Novemvber 10th, 2017 in the NHL Global Series in Stockholm, Sweden.  This sweater is the new Adidas style on ice sweater.  This sweater is mostly pristine as would be expected from a one game worn sweater.  Yak opened the scoring in the game at 8:16 of the 1st period with a power play goal assisted by Alexander Kerfoot and Colin Wilson. The Avalanche lost the game to the Ottawa Senators by the score of 4-3 in overtime. I am very excited to add this sweater to my Avalanche game worn sweater collection.

2003-04 Alex Tanguay Set 3/Playoffs Road Set (MeiGray)

This is Alex Tanguay's Set 3/Playoffs Road Sweater from the 2003-04 season. The game use on this 3rd Set game worn sweater consists of some very nice stick marks, board burns, paint transfer and heavy inner pilling.  Tanguay wore this sweater late in the 2003-04 season and into the Stanley Cup playoffs. Tanguay won the Stanley Cup with the Avalanche in 2001 and scored 283 goals and 863 points in his very successful NHL career.

Very solid game wear exhibited on this Tanguay sweater

2003-04 Adam Foote Road Set 2 (MeiGray)

This is Adam Foote's game worn set 2 road sweater from the 2003-04 season.  The sweater exhibits great wear with several stick/puck marks, unrepaired holes and heavy inner pilling.. Foote wore this sweater in the 2nd half of the season and into the 2004 Stanley Cup playoffs..

Several photo-matches have been found for this sweater.. Foote left the Avalanche after this season for the Columbus Blue Jackets.  Foote would later return to the Avalanche to close out his great career.  Foote is a two time Stanley Cup winner with the Avalanche and his #52 is retired in the rafters at the Pepsi Center in Denver, CO.  Many thanks to my good friend and fellow Avalanche collector Jay Vean for giving me the opportunity to add this beautiful Adam Foote gamer to my Avalanche game worn jersey collection.. Jay is a great friend and an asset to the hobby.

2011-12 Gabriel Landeskog Set 1 Home Rookie Season (MeiGray)

This is Gabriel Landeskog's Set 1 home sweater from the 2011-12 season in which Landeskog was a rookie.. Landeskog wore this sweater in 13 home games from the beginning of the season, through November 30, 2011.  He did not score in this sweater, but he had 4 assists.  Landy had a stellar rookie season scoring 22 goals and 30 assists for 52 points.  The following season, Landeskog becomes the youngest captain in the history of the NHL at 19.9 years old.  This sweater exhibits great wear with several team repairs on both sleeves and heavy interior pilling.  Landeskog represents part of the young core of the Colorado Avalanche and I am extremely lucky to have added one of his rookie sweaters to my collection..

The photos below are of Landeskog wearing this sweater in home games up until 11/30/11 Several photo matches are apparent with the team repairs on both sleeves of the sweater

2015-16 Gabriel Landeskog Stadium Series (MeiGray/NHL)

This is Gabriel Landeskog's Stadium Series game worn jersey from the 2016 Coors Light Stadium Series game vs Detroit Red Wings.  The game was played on February 27th, 2016 at Coors Field in Denver, CO. Landeskog wore this sweater in period 2 of the game. The sweater exhibits light wear,, as to be expected from a sweater that was worn in only 1 period.  The players wore different sweaters in each of the 3 periods of the game and a 4th set was worn for warmups. Captain Landeskog factored in on 2 of the Colorado Avalanche goals with assists. The Red Wings defeated the Avalanche 5-3 on a very memorable night in Denver, Colorado.  I am glad to have acquired this amazing game worn sweater to remember this night by..

2016-17 JT Compher Set 2 Home (KSE/Avalanche)

This is JT Compher's set 2 home sweater from his rookie season with the Avalanche.  This sweater has a great story behind it and is quite special.. I would imagine that he would perhaps want this jersey down the road so we will see.. Compher scored his 1st NHL goal against the Detroit Redwings in this sweater on March 15th, 2017 at the Pepsi Center.  It also happened to be the game winning goal as the Avs went on to defeat the Wings 3-1. The rookie sweater consists of very good game use consisting of board burns and several team repairs.  This is the last set of Reebok Edge 2.0 Avs' sweaters as the league is switching to Adidas next season.  We may see a style change with regards to the Avalanche sweaters.

JT Compher is one of the top Avs young players to emerge in 2016-17 season.  He projects to be a solid third line center for the Avs for years to come.
